Youths In Politics

According to Kenyan Constitution, the term “youth” refers to people ages 18 to 35 years regardless of the gender. Article 55 of Kenyan Constitution provides that the State shall take measures, including affirmative action programmes, to ensure that the youth have opportunities to associate, be represented and participate in political, social, economic and other spheres of life. Youths in Politics Image BUT, in Kenya, the role of the youths in politics has been reduced to actively taking part in electoral processes. Politicians and Political Parties feels that youths should not take part in active politics and leadership.
