Yesterday Sunday 13th June 2021 was all joy, sunshines and jubilations at ACK Kenya Njeru Parish Church in Kangema during the Church's Jubilee Anniversary Celebration in an event that was presided over by Rev Dr Timothy Gichere, the Bishop ACK Diocese of Mt Kenya Central.

The service went on well with the Bishop starting with blessing the Church and it's structures before offering a service to mark 50 years of spreading the gospel with a Sermon from the Book of Jeremiah Chapter 7:3 about the Reforms. After the service the worshippers joined hands in a fund drive for church developments.

The event was graced by recent coronated Mt Kenya Spokesman and National Assembly Speaker Hon Justin Muturi, CS Defense Monica Juma, PS Wairagu wa Mai, Muranga Woman Rep Hon Sabina Chege, Kangema Riri Regime led by the incumbent, Kieni MP Hon Kanini Kega, Muranga Senator Aspirant Prof Peter Kagwanja, NACADA Director Esther Gathogo, Kangema 2022 MP Aspirants madam Juliah Chege and Peter Kihungi and Rwathia MCA Hon Mweri among other distinguished leaders.

Kangema MP was the event MC and there was a plan to block madam Juliah Chege and Peter Kihungi from addressing the event like what happened earlier this month at a burial in Gikui where madam Juliah was blocked from addressing the mourners and passing her condolences which resulted to condemnation of the Riri Regime. But due to public demand the Riri had no alternative than to invite madam Juliah Chege the daughter of Rwathia and Hon Kihungi to address the Congregation.

On her speech, madam Juliah insisted on the need for congregation to remain united and the need to engage in agribusiness as a mean for economic development as well as an effort to curb drug and substance abuse. She quoted her endless support to arrowroot farmers and highlighted her desire to continue working with NACADA in the fight against drugs as she has been in forefront in fighting this menace in engaging youths in sports and farming.
