Raila 'Ares' Odinga, god of War and Violence

In Greece, there's a mythology of the Olympian god of war, violence, brutality and destruction known as Ares who's hated by both men and gods. However, like Greece, in Kenya there's only one charitrophy and orchasterate of war, violence, brutality and destruction, Raila Ares Amolo Odinga.

Raila 'Ares'Odinga

Since inception of this god over four decades ago, in Luoland and in the rest of the country, it has made it a practice to exploit poor but energetic youth to fight its opponents by violently intimidating and disenfranchising people who do not bow down to it or support it.

Raila 'Ares' Amolo Odinga, swam in a river of blood in August 1982 when he planned and executed a failed coup d'etat against president Moi's Government which resulted to death of many Kenyans and his detention. It was during Kibaki's presidency that Ares Odinga revealed it was his plan to overthrow Moi regime.

But Ares Odinga's penchant for violence dates back to his student days in East Germany where he was involved in a savagery violent encounter with an East German soldier· In the company of another Kenyan student called Odero Ojwok, Raila was drinking in hotel together with some female students, they wanted, when East German soldiers who were interested in the white ladies came and a brawl ensued.

While Raila held one soldier by the neck in true Kenyan ngeta fashion, Odero Ojwok opened the soldier’s stomach with a knife, spilling out all his intestines. Pandemonium broke out in the hotel and alarm bells were promptly pressed in the appropriate quarters. In a matter of minutes, colleagues of the badly wounded soldier arrived in the hotel and beat the living daylights out of Raila and Odero Ojwok.

In the process of the brutal beating, Raila was flung against the hotel’s French window where he smashed his face, causing the scar which was/is visible on his face for many years. He also broke his jaw and lost some teeth causing him to stammer henceforth. Raila and his Kenyan colleague were beaten up so badly that by the time the police came, Raila could hardly lift himself off the ground. He was rushed unconscious to hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.

In 2007, Raila Ares Odinga contested in Kenya's presidential elections where he emerged number two after incumbent President Mwai Kibaki but he disputed the elections and called for mass action which saw him for the second time swam in a river of blood of over 1,300 people who were killed by PEV of 2007/2008. Over 600,000 people were displaced.

In 2013, Ares Odinga contested for presidential election against Uhuru Kenyatta but lost for the third time. He still disputed the election results in Supreme Court but the Court dismissed the claim. This god of violence has no alternative than to fly to US for a while a period where Kenya experienced peaceful days.

In 2017, for the forth time, Ares Odinga again contested for the presidential elections and lost to Uhuru Kenyatta again. He still disputed the elections in Supreme Court where presidential election was declared null and void. The Supreme Court ordered IEBC to conduct fresh elections but Ares Odinga boycotted the elections and called for demonstrations across Kenya which resulted to deaths of Kenyans and destruction of properties. He even went ahead to swear himself as the People's President of Kenya and urged his supporters to boycott some companies' services and commodities.

As we head to 2022, Raila Ares Odinga will have to battle for Presidency with William Ruto. It's hope for every Kenyan that those who dispute elections will accept the will of the people and that there would be no demonstrations, violence, deaths, displacement or destruction of properties. It's hope for every Kenyan that Peace will Prevail in 2022.
