Kangema Public Land Grabbing; Witemere Phase II

Since recently Kangema Public Land has been open for grab which had agitated or irritated majority of Liberal minded Kangema people who oversaw the grabbing of public land during the time of municipal council which was referred to as 'witemere'. To worsen the situation, it has been aided by Cartels either employed by Muranga County Government or working with it at Kangema Sub-County  or even local leaders and politicians who are the mastermind of these grabbings.  Any potential land grabber has to meet with these cartels and pay ransom of money ranging from 50,000 to 500,000 depending on the size and location of the public land to be grabbed after which land grabber privately develop the land and upon completion, they either pay the required amount of money to Muranga County Government for business permit or lease these properties to innocent Kangema people at a hiked price. Poor Kangema people themselves are not allowed to either build any structure, a kiosk or even bring a co

No Electricity For Kangema People, Use Paraffin Lamps

Kangema pupil using a lamp When Kenya Power and Lightening Company engineers and technocrats came to Mukarara, Kangema in year 2014 for construction of KPLC Kangema substation site seeing, it kindled hope of Light among the area residents as well as Kangema people most of whom were living in the darkness. The hope was awakened when the construction work commenced and residents awaited for a day when they would throw away their old paraffin lamps and kiss a goodbye to eye and nose problems brought about by long use of paraffin lamps especially on young school pupils and Students as well as save money used to purchase Kerosene. After the installation of machinery and commissioning of the Substation, the dream was coming to reality but that was not for long until they realized they were like a builder who builds a house only not to live in it or like a farmer who feeds or fatten his animal only to be milked or slaughtered somewhere else.  KPLC Kangema Substation After waiting for years to

Vacant Muringaini Location Chief's Post

A letter reaching our desk from Kangema Deputy County Commissioner's Office REF. NO ST.1/VOL.1/64 is advertising for a post of Muringaini Location Chief's Post in Muguru Division, Kangema. First, this is recommendable to fill the security vacuum left by former Chief Mr. Misheck Njuguna.    Second, I would like to urge all those who meet the qualifications to apply for the same as this is their right and not mercy or begging. Also, to stand up to see that the most qualified amongst themselves get that post without the common synonym 'huyu ameletwa with order from above.' The only order from above justified by law of nature is from the unseen Man above who doesn't eat ugali. Any other order from above ought to be petitioned or challenged from where it came from or the one above it! KANGEMA MASHINANI will be following up on this especially on all the names of applicants, their academic qualifications, their Sub-Locations and villages as well as Leadership skills and

Gikui Communal Road Projects

People's Patience is not endless. After waiting for road upgrading development projects for three years with no avail, Gikui residents in Iyego got tired of waiting for the elected leaders to act and took it in their hands.  In realisation of Kikuyu proverb communal efforts lifts up a pestle (kamûingî koyaga ndîrî), the residents of Gikui Community organized themselves into a group and contributed money from each and every household as well as offered manpower to trim the fences, clear the roads as well as digging , gravelling and upgrading their roads  Currently few road projects are ongoing and more are being targeted especially the ones which are impassable or with pot holes.  These are community owned projects in Gikui, Iyego and other residents need to adapt this socialism/communism philosophy and come up with community projects that can benefit the community instead of complaining and waiting for their leaders.

KMTC Kangema Campus; Dream to Reality

John 20:24-27 says that; Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.   So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”  he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,  “Peace be with you!” Then  he said to Thomas,  “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” To many Kangema Residents, they could never believe Kenya Medical Training College could ever reach Kangema despite words from leaders. To them it was just a dream. It was just a future impossible tense. But today the dream has turned to reality with the commencement of ground breaking graveling of the site for construction of the same at Kangema Town opposite Kangema Level 4 Hospi

NDAKAINI DAM WATER MURANGA JUSTICE

The one and only way Muranga County can get Justice from Nairobi County for use of Ndakaini dam water is this;  "Watu wa Muranga waandamane baka Ndakaini Dam watupe all sort of animal waste in the dam ranging dog waste to pig waste, alafu waende haja ndogo na kumbwa kwa maji ya Ndakaini na waogelee huko before spitting in the water" and the next day there will be vomiting in each and every household in Nairobi and Billions of Money will be paid to Muranga County by Nairobi County as a Revenue. Nairobi County has never, is never and will never pay Muranga County even a penny even after earning billions of money each year for sale of Ndakaini Dam Water to Nairobians unless Muranga County adapt radical measures to fight for it's rights. No wonder Tunnels are still dug to drain Aberdares the remaining Water to Nairobi despite thousands of Muranga County residents lacking the basic commodity of life, Water.

Kangema Masks Defiants Arrests

Hundreds of Kangema Residents young and old men and women spent last night behind Kangema Police Station Cell for allegedly failure to wear masks or improper wearing of the same. Some of those arrested were either released last night or this early Monday morning after paying 1500 KShs with those who could not manage to pay the same being taken to Kangema Magistrates Court this morning. Among those arrested there's fear among them and their families, friends and residents of having been infected with deadly Covid 19 disease due to Congestion in the cells! But the big question is, "ARE KENYANS SUPPOSED TO BE ARRESTED FOR FAILURE TO WEAR MASKS OR IMPROPERLY WEARING OF THE SAME?!?" INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE NEED TO COME OUT CLEARLY ON THIS!
