Vacant Muringaini Location Chief's Post

A letter reaching our desk from Kangema Deputy County Commissioner's Office REF. NO ST.1/VOL.1/64 is advertising for a post of Muringaini Location Chief's Post in Muguru Division, Kangema.

First, this is recommendable to fill the security vacuum left by former Chief Mr. Misheck Njuguna.

Second, I would like to urge all those who meet the qualifications to apply for the same as this is their right and not mercy or begging. Also, to stand up to see that the most qualified amongst themselves get that post without the common synonym 'huyu ameletwa with order from above.' The only order from above justified by law of nature is from the unseen Man above who doesn't eat ugali. Any other order from above ought to be petitioned or challenged from where it came from or the one above it!
KANGEMA MASHINANI will be following up on this especially on all the names of applicants, their academic qualifications, their Sub-Locations and villages as well as Leadership skills and Character. The appointed Chief's details as well will be updated.

Thirdly, there's this antagonism between the three Sub-Locations in Muringaini Location, i.e Ihiga-ini, Kanorero and Kiairathe on where the new Chief would hail from as the former was from Kiairathe which necessitated Ihiga-ini Residents to sign a petition to D.C.C and County Commissioner to exit Muringa-ini Location to join Muguru Location as they could enroute a long journey to Kanorero Chief's office or Kiarathe Chief's home to seek his assistance if need arise.

Lastly, on my behalf as a youth who stands up for youths rights, I empathize with my fellow youths who are disqualified from this post on the basis of being 35 years and below despite being overqualified academically as this post is preserved for the old.
I heard the youths are not anywhere on the negotiation dining table and they know their place which I tend to think is near the toilet. But youths really need to stand up for their rights and liberate themselves!

MURATINA - Kikuyu Traditional Brew

Muratina is a crisp, sour, fruit flavoured Kikuyus' traditional brew made by fermenting Muratina fruit with water, honey, sugar and sugarcane juice. It has an alcoholic odor and is common in Central Kenya among the Kikuyu Community and has been passed from generations to generations where brewers learn the art or magic of making it from years of watching elders. Muratina in a Calabash 'Kinya' It is named after a fruit that comes from a wild tree commonly known as the "Sausage tree" due to its long, sausage like shape of the fruit which is highly poisonous when eaten raw unless boiled or roasted. The tree is scientifically known as Kigelia Africana and grows in river banks, wet areas and food plains in African countries such as Kenya, Cameroon, Senegal, Guinea, Tanzania, Chad, Eritrea, South Africa and Namibia. In Kenya it is found in Central and Western Kenya. Among Kikuyu Community, the tree is neither planted nor cut by any human as traditionalists believe it is

CRP Litmus Test

Civic Renewal Party commonly known as CRP is one of the party in Mt Kenya Region in Kenya. The party is led by Muranga County Governor H.E Mwangi Wa Iria who is also the Council of Governors vice chairman and Presidential Candidate in 2022. CRP Headquarters Party Analysis CRP party logo 1. Name; The word 'Civic' means people's activities or duties in their local areas, towns or cities. So in choosing of the name 'Civic', philosophy is detected. 2. In 'CRP' abbreviation, still wisdom is detected. Just like it was in H.E Ruto's former party URP. 3. Party Symbol; The choice of symbol of a 'Cow' was also well advised as every Kenyan Citizen is familiar with cows. On the party symbol, I could have advised for additional symbol of coffee, tea or maize which are backbone to Kenyan Economy and later being staple food in Kenya and which the party leader has been in forefront in reviving it's farming in the County through provision of farm inputs. 4.
