With only few days until the American presidential election, I have decided to obey my political call and share my analysis and prediction.
Presidential Election in US is scheduled for Tuesday November 3, 2020 and simply is between two antagonizing parties, Democrat and Republican.
This Election undergoes two crucial independent voting stages; The Popular Vote and The Electoral College Vote although earlier maybe determinant of later under 'winner takes all' where presidential candidate who receives most votes in any given state is assured of all college votes in such state.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton won Popular votes with 65,853,514 votes against Donald Trump with 62,984,828 votes but Donald won college votes with 304 votes which even surpassed the required 270 votes against Hillary Clinton's 227 votes. This was the seventh presidential elections in History of US where a presidential candidate won popular vote but lost college vote.
College votes per State
First, I have to mention something about age although I always insist politics has no relations to age but I have to start by its analysis. Joe Biden is 77 years old and and will be battling 74 years old Donald Trump. If you look at House of Representatives, majority leader Steny Hoger is 81 years old, Speaker Nancy Pelosi is 80 years old while Majority Whip Jim Clyburn is 80 years old. So age is just a number in politics. No relations.
Second, Joe Biden was President Barrack Obama's loyal Deputy President and has always seemed empathetic to black Americans, women and Children.
It was during their administration that saw Universal Health Care for all Americans, affordable housing, gun control and free freedom for all Americans whether Senior Citizens, minority or majority. Thus he's liked by many Americans more so as a Catholic and Obama inspired leader.
With his running mate Vice President hopeful Kamala Harris, they form the most beautiful combination ever in American political History. Ms Kamala is the new Hillary Clinton while Mr Biden is the new Barrack Obama. So Great support and highest expectations from both Republicans and Democrats. More so, feminists revolutionaries who believe in gender equality.
On the other side is unspeakable Republican candidate incumbent Donald Trump who received great support from Senior Citizens in 2016 due to his conservatism ideologies but now seems to have lost their faith and support. He is also hated by media, Democrats and even some Republicans for saying and doing what is right instead of what's expected.
This hatred started shortly after he was elected which saw thousands of demonstrators terming him as 'not my president' and this escalated up to his impeachment but was reinstated by the Senate. He has also been under attack in the way he has been fighting Covid 19 which greatly affected the entire country. Recently he contracted Covid 19 and claimed healed and immune to it a theory researchers and scientists refuted as myth.
But in politics it's not all about being loved by populace. You also got to be feared. I buy the ideology of Philosopher Nicole Machiavelli, "it's better to be feared than loved if you can't be both." This is since those who are loved are usually betrayed by those who love them but those feared no one will ever dare to betray them. Biden is loved, Trump feared but Machiavelli's philosophy might not have enough strength to turn the table.
Lastly, Americas' biggest issues involves conservatism vs progressivism, healthcare, immigration, freedom, education, environment, government spending, welfare, democracy among others some of which Trump's administration has ignored or abolished like universal health care, conservation of environment, assylum seeking (immigration), high government spending among others which Biden seems to capitalize on them throughout his campaign.
Putting all these determinants at hand into consideration, I can substantiate my prediction and statistics that Joe Biden will win the US presidential elections popular vote against Donald Trump. With about 240 million registered voters and usual average voter turnout of 60%, Biden will garner over 75,000,000 votes against Trump who would hardly hit 60,000,000 votes. In term of College Vote, Biden will win but with a handful of votes against Trump; 280 votes against 258 votes.
But on and on, there's high possibility the Democracy will end up in Supreme Court which might be the determinant of the outcome.
